Matthew McCormick, Owner – Matthew started working for a general contractor in 1998. Although he earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in university, he discovered he was more comfortable swinging a hammer than sitting behind a desk. So for the next several years Matthew worked in cabinetry and construction, both on his own and for other contractors. It was during this time he met Dave Maggiolo and the two men discovered they shared a passion for providing superior customer service while producing quality work. The result was Build Tru Group.
Dave Maggiolo, Owner – Dave has been working in construction, renovation, and furniture building since the age of 21. His career has progressed from sanding doors to constructing homes from the foundation up. Dave spent 13 years as the General Manager and Sales Manager for a custom cabinetry company, and then 4 years building homes for a construction company, where he met Matthew McCormick. As a skilled and experienced tradesman, Dave works hard to foster an environment where his team is motivated to do its best. He takes pride in organizing their customer’s projects so that they always deliver on time while exceeding expectations.
